Currency flows negative for the first time since March


Brazil had its first negative flow of currency in the weekly measure since March, pressured by financial operations, which had the fourth consecutive week in the red. 

There was negative balance of $ 137 between May 8 and 12, after a positive balance of $ 639 million the previous week.

There was a decline in currency flows overall, with the financial account in a deficit of $ 205 million, while commercial operations were in surplus of $ 68 million. In May, the balance is still in the green at $ 502 million, while this year there is an accumulated surplus of $ 11.537 billion.
