The Consumer Price Index (CPI), which measures inflation in the City of Sao Paulo, increased by 0.14% in March, reversing the fall of 0.08 measured last month, according to data published by the Economic Research Institute Foundation (Fipe).
In the first quarter of the year, the index rose by 0.38%, and in the 12-month measure, the consumer price index was 3.56%.
In March, the cost of cost of food rose 0.34%, against a reduction of 0.69% in the month before. Personal expenses rose 0.17% last month, after falling 0.13% in February. In addition to the above, the cost of health care increased 0.72 in March, a little less than the increase of 0.69% in February.
On the other hand, two components increased slightly compared to the month before. These were housing (from 0.36% in February to 0.19% in March) and education (from 0.13% to 0.06%).
